Task management
Atollic TrueSTUDIO® helps you to record and plan the work tasks related to your development project, and keeps track of bug reports, feature requests and other to-do items!
Atollic TrueSTUDIO® acts as a GUI client for popular server-side bug database and issue management systems like Bugzilla, Trac or Mantis. Atollic TrueSTUDIO® also supports a local mode for single developers, where all tasks are stored locally on the developers' PC.

Features for work-planning is integrated, and developers can schedule when various tasks needs to be completed, and different developers gets a task list that presents what work tasks have been assigned to them, and when they need to be completed.
Developers can even take screenshots from within Atollic TrueSTUDIO®, crop and annotate them with texts and graphical objects like arrows, and automatically add the edited screenshot to a task as a bitmap file attachment. This can for example be a great way to document the contents of debugger windows when describing a new-found bug.
Colleagues that open the same bug report at a later time can then see what your debugger views looked like when you found the bug, including additional annotation comments you may have added.
Atollic TrueSTUDIO® supports context-aware task management, and allows developers to activate work on a specific task. When the developer stop working on that task (typically by activating work on another task), the product records all open files and their cursor positions.
The next time that task is opened (maybe weeks later), the editor automatically loads the files that were open the last time work was done on that task, and the cursor is automatically moved to the same place it was the last time. I.e., when work is started on a task again, the developer is automatically placed in the same context he was in when he left that task the last time. This is a major time-saver and developer efficiency is greatly improved!
Furthermore, the Project Explorer view contains a filter button, which can be used to filter all files which are not part of the context of the currently active task. I.e., the Project Explorer view only display the files related to the current task in order to reduce information overload and enable developers to more easily focus on the active work task.
And finally, Atollic TrueSTUDIO® can optionally measure the time spent working on a specific task. Time counting is being performed while a task is flagged as active, and stops when the keyboard and mouse has been inactive for a certain amount of time. When mouse or keyboard interaction is resumed, time counting is automatically started again. This time measurement feature can be used to improve future time estimate skills, or for customer invoicing.
Using the integrated task management system in Atollic TrueSTUDIO®, you get a superior tool solution for structuring your development work and work planning!
