PC debug
Atollic TrueSTUDIO® include tools to build command-line PC applications, enabling embedded developers to start development before the embedded hardware is available, and to test software algorithms on a PC to exclude interference from the embedded platform. A corresponding PC debugger is included as well, to support debugging of command-line PC applications.
The debugging concept consist of an advanced debugger GUI that connects to the gdb debugger using the gdb/mi interface. The gdb debugger then controls the execution of the PC application using host OS primitives.
