Note on STM32 DiscoveryKit and DesignChallenge boards

Before starting a debug session using the STM32 DiscoveryKit or DesignChallenge board, please make sure that "SWD" mode is selected in the "Debugger" tab in the Debug configuration dialog box. Debugging will not work in JTAG mode for these boards.
